DConnect is committed to informing Damelin East London students, staff, prospective part time learners and parents about issues relevant totheir lives, mainly on campus.

The publication is run entirely by the students and is published monthly and serves as a mouth piece of news to its target audience and serves as a training ground for the Journalism students.

The publication receives no funding but a large portion of its revenue is generated through advertising to raise funds to purchase equipment for the Journalism & Media Studies Academic Department.
